Free Hanging Sea Glass Globe made using Welsh sea glass.

For those of you who don't already
know, 'gwydr' is Welsh for 'glass'.

News Update!                             To all you good people who have been wanting to see more of our necklaces and buy online... we will shortly be launching an exciting new website devoted entirely to our jewellery.

We'll keep you posted as things develop, but in the meantime, please check out the 'hand crafted pendants' page for more information.

For those of you who are new to this site and would like to know a little about us, GWYDR began life as a business in 2003, and as of October 1st 2007, GWYDR became a Partnership.

Now, the business is owned and operated by myself, Leanne Bunce B.A., M.A, and also Rebecca Marriott B.Sc.

Rebecca is involved in artistic direction and management for GWYDR, while apprenticing as a solderer. Our standards are high and she has her work cut out for her!

My speciality and passion is in working with Sea Glass, and this remains a focus for GWYDR.

Sea glass is glass that has been tossed by the oceans and washed up onto its shores.

Each sea glass fragment has a history and romance all of its own, and the irregularity of sea glass helps me to create organically inspired original designs such as the Sea Glass Globe featured above.

My second area of expertise is with stained glass, using the type of copper foil and soldering techniques best known through the works of Tiffany glassware.

But GWYDR is a place where I can showcase my own very unique & contemporary stained glass style.

I create original and exclusive glass art designs available directly to the public; to private and commercial premises; and to trade outlets.

GWYDR’s unique soldered glass designs fall into two distinct categories:

Sappho Crown lit by a candle light.sea glass art

and...

A stained glass Candle Crown.stained glass art

Whilst similar in technical details and process, the sea glass designs satisfy a very different artistic appetite to the stained glass designs, and visa versa.

But why not see for yourself…
