Care of your necklace
The edges of GWYDR stained glass necklaces are crafted from a jeweller's solder of tin and silver. All chains, bails, jump rings and front of pendant designs are sterling silver.
Like silver, the jeweller's solder will lose its initial lustre if left unpolished. This is natural, and has its own charm. You may prefer to let your pendant age naturally in this way.
If you'd like to maintain a brightness to your pendant, an occasional brisk rub to the solder with a soft polishing cloth will bring out a renewed shine.
Alternatively, a silver polishing cloth works particularly well to bring out a sparkle.
Do not dip your pendant in a silver cleaning fluid or use a silver cleaning cream, as this will have an opposite effect on the pendant edges, and cause them to become grey.
A good tip for preserving the shine longer between polishes is to keep your necklace in an airtight resealable plastic bag. This tip works for any silver jewellery item, not just your GWYDR necklace.
Your GWYDR pendant is an individually crafted work of stained glass art, and with care, should last a lifetime.
