Photography & Descriptions
We do our best to accurately represent our jewellery through the use of photographs, product descriptions and measurements. However please be aware that photographs do not depict actual size. Items may be represented at larger than actual size for the purpose of showing detail, or smaller than actual size for the purpose of giving an impression of the entire item. For details of size please refer to the product descriptions and measurements.
Our aim is to present colours as accurately as possible. However, colours in the photographs may differ slightly to the colour of the actual item due to screen defaults or photography editing processes.
Some of the glass we use in our jewellery is transparent or semi-transparent. This may create different effects depending on the background it is placed against, i.e. it may look different when worn on different skin tones or over different coloured items of clothing.
Texture and bubbles in the glass are a natural occurrence. However these subtle details may not always be visible in the photographs.
Although we aim to be as accurate as possible in the written descriptions of the jewellery on this website, these descriptions are the opinions of GWYDR and to a certain degree subjective.
Should you want to return your item, for any reason, you have 7 days from the date of receipt to change your mind and we will gladly refund your payment. Please view our Returns Policy.
Care of your necklace
The edges of GWYDR stained glass necklaces are crafted from a jeweller's solder of tin and silver. All chains, bails, jump rings and front of pendant designs are sterling silver.
Like silver, the jeweller's solder will lose its initial lustre if left unpolished. This is natural, and has its own charm. You may prefer to let your pendant age naturally in this way.
If you'd like to maintain a brightness to your pendant, an occasional brisk rub to the solder with a soft polishing cloth will bring out a renewed shine.
Alternatively, a silver polishing cloth works particularly well to bring out a sparkle.
Do not dip your pendant in a silver cleaning fluid or use a silver cleaning cream, as this will have an opposite effect on the pendant edges, and cause them to become grey.
A good tip for preserving the shine longer between polishes is to keep your necklace in an airtight resealable plastic bag. This tip works for any silver jewellery item, not just your GWYDR necklace.
Your GWYDR pendant is an individually crafted work of stained glass art, and with care, should last a lifetime.
